About Beverly Boulet
Louisiana born artist Beverly Boulet began art studies at age four, and, luckily, had art classes all through elementary and high school, plus Summer art camps. She studied fashion design at West Virginia University, and continued her art education with workshops by noted portrait artists, including John Howard Sanden, Daniel Greene, and Foster Caddell.
Ms. Boulet began painting murals and portraits in the early 1970’s at the Maryland and New Jersey beaches, and continued to do so upon returning to New Orleans in 1980.
She has painted, literally, thousands of portraits in water media, pastel, and oils, which grace public and private collections internationally. She has, also, exhibited and garnered awards in group and juried shows, and presented one woman shows.
In the early 1990’s, Beverly, along with Joann Abbott Thaxxton, co-produced the Howl Orleans Art Festivals, and as a board member of French Quarter North and South Art Guild, presented many art exhibitions such as the annual Jumbo Art Show, which eventually became the Satchmo Art Show. Beverly continues to organize multiple artist exhibits at various locations, as well as charitable functions benefitting organizations and individuals, and donates artwork and volunteer time to many charity events.
Dees Guise from N’Wallins, Beverly Boulet’s company, displays her hand made designs at the French Market Mask Show annually, and Beverly is a member of the board of directors of the New Orleans Mask Maker’s Guild. Her feather creations have been worn on the Grammy Awards and other televised productions, and been presented as awards at many prestigious events.
Currently, Ms Boulet is currently represented by Lisa Victoria Gallery in New Orleans, LA, and paints commissioned works and portraits in the gallery's lovely courtyard.
