I was commissioned to paint a portrait of guitarist "Sneaky Pete" Pete Murano, as a gift, and was attracted by his stance and brooding good looks. Therefore I painted an additional painting of him. He performs with Orleans Avenue, a high profile band, and is very entertaining in his own right!
Louisiana born artist Beverly Boulet began art studies at age four, and, luckily, had art classes all through elementary and high school, plus Summer art camps. She studied fashion design at West Virginia University, and continued her art education with workshops by noted portrait artists, including John Howard Sanden, Daniel Greene, and Foster Caddell. Ms. Boulet began painting murals and portraits in the early 1970�s at the Maryland and New Jersey beaches, and continued to do so upon returning to New Orleans in 1980. She has painted, literally, thousands of portraits in water media, pastel, and oils, which grace public and private collections internationally.
