Artist's Description

This is part of my dichotomy series / representing inside/ outside. Other opposites are depicted here, also : dark/ light, male/ female/ warm/ cool, complementary colors, front/back... And more can probably be discovered. The more obvious theme of the painting is the mutual passions, books being among them.

About Beverly Boulet

Beverly Boulet

Louisiana born artist Beverly Boulet began art studies at age four, and, luckily, had art classes all through elementary and high school, plus Summer art camps. She studied fashion design at West Virginia University, and continued her art education with workshops by noted portrait artists, including John Howard Sanden, Daniel Greene, and Foster Caddell. Ms. Boulet began painting murals and portraits in the early 1970�s at the Maryland and New Jersey beaches, and continued to do so upon returning to New Orleans in 1980. She has painted, literally, thousands of portraits in water media, pastel, and oils, which grace public and private collections internationally. She has, also, exhibited and garnered awards in group and juried shows,...
